Nawton Cubs is a free class for four year olds and their parents/whanau which runs for 6 weeks every term.  It allows them to get to know Nawton School.  They take part in early reading, writing and maths activities in order  to prepare them for when they start school.  The children learn to follow a routine and become familiar with a classroom setting.  They can take a picture book home every week to read with their family.  It is also a great opportunity for families to observe what happens in a classroom and be able to ask questions about their child starting school. It is held for six weeks every term on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00-3:00pm.  On your first visit to Nawton Cubs, please take your child to the main office and one of our friendly staff will take you to the Nawton Cubs classroom.
