Back to Back to Back 7’s Champs Our Nawton School Rugby 7's team defended their title on Friday 31st August 2018 at the annual Melville Rugby 7's & Netball tournament. After drawing the first game against Frankton 2-2 we went through pool play unbeaten. We played Aberdeen in the semi finals who had previously beaten Frankton, our team played outstanding and won 60-10. The final was against Frankton which proved to be the game of the tournament. It was 10-10 at half time and 20-20 at full-time with Frankton drawing level with us on full-time. Five minutes of extra time was added, we managed to stay composed to score twice to seal our 4th Melville 7's tournament win. The whole team played amazing and it was a true team effort - well done team! |
